Preparing the Local Directory
- Remove duplicate proxyAddress and userPrincipalName attributes
- Ensure that all objects to be synchronized must have valid userPrincipalName values
- Remove invalid or questionable characters in object attributes
- In Multi-forest deployments follow Microsoft recommendations such as: Consider consolidating forests, Use only in the primary logon forest
- UPN's must be verified domains in Microsoft 365
- UPN's must not contain invalid characters:
\ % & * + / = ? {} | <> () ; : , [] "
